Jeremy Scott is widely known for being the most outrageous and eclectic designer in fashion right now (except for, perhaps, Dame Viv and Louise Gray). His show at New York Fashion Week today was another rampant riot through the rainbow. Multicoloured chequered print was repeated throughout but the biggest inspiration seemed to be monsters. Scary faces, googly eyes, fangs and fur were out in force but Scott made them playful and even sexy in some looks. Punky hair and makeup matched the strong looks on show, especially the leather and crop-top/mini skirt combos. After a roaringly successful collaboration with Adidias last year, we were never going to expect beige from Jeremy Scott, and he definitely made sure we all sat up and paid attention. This collection was a warning: watch this space.
