Chanel Spring/Summer 2013 Lookbook

Dig out your granny's best pearls, because old-school Chanel is returning for summer. As British summertime officially begins (supposedly), here's a look at Chanel's Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook for Karl Lagerfeld's take on summer dressing, shot by the Kasier himself.

There are certain details which are innately Chanel- tweeds, pearls, wide-brimmed hats- brought up to date with brighter colours and tighter cuts. The traditional tweed two-piece is modernised in a variety of styles- trouser suits, skirt suits and even a highly covetable jumper-skirt combo. Monochrome is a trend to watch this season, as are quirky hats and sunglasses and, of course, in the usual Chanel style- pearls everywhere. Pearl necklaces, bracelets, buttons- the more the merrier. The Chanel girl isn't shy when it comes to accessorising but retains all of the elegance and glamour of Coco herself- even in summer time.

Even if Lagerfeld's lookbook doesn't stir up some summery inspiration inside you, you have to admit how impressive it is that Coco Chanel's personal style continues to influence on such a huge scale even to this day.

Daphne Groeneveld for The Sunday Times Style

It's hard to believe that the current face of H&M, Dior Addict and Jill Stuart Beauty, Daphne Groeneveld, is only 18 years old. Since her sweet 16th, she's covered every high fashion magazine worth reading and walked for every designer worth knowing. Her unique features have made her a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry and now the UK have finally caught on. Covering last week's issue of The Sunday Times Style magazine, Daphne is seen lounging innocently in an array of babydoll style dresses and pretty pastels by Prada, Nina Ricci, Burberry, Ralph Lauren and more. Shot by esteemed French fashion photographer (and ex-rock singer) Eric Guillemain.
